In Classic and 2, everything in a project was visible to a client until you marked it private. What’s changed is both the interface and the default privacy setting. You’d be right - it’s based on a similar approach. If you’ve used Basecamp Classic or Basecamp 2, this new setup may ring a bell. Any existing content will be private, and anything new you add to the project will give you the option to mark something as private or visible to the client.
